Knights Men’s Basketball Bring Home First Win of the Season vs Conestoga

KITCHENER, ON: The Niagara Knights Men's Basketball team (1-1) travelled to Kitchener, ON to take on the Conestoga Condors (0-2) Friday night. Looking for their first victory of the season, the Knights were able to secure the first win on the road with a score of 78-64.

The Knights hit the road Friday after hosting their home opener earlier in the week and falling to the Humber Hawks (2-0). The Knights came prepared to battle and did so accordingly. In the first half, the Knights were able to push the tempo and create plenty of scoring opportunities, finishing the first half shooting 50% field goal (10-20) and being able to clean up around the basket, getting a hold of 12 rebounds (7 defensive and 5 offensive).

In the second half we saw much of the same from the Knights at both ends of the court. Head coach Lequan Hylton stated after the game "we got off to a slow start but once we found our rhythm, we took control for the final 3 quarters. With our captain out, we had guys step up and contribute huge for our first win".

The Knights finished the game shooting 40.3% from field goal (31-77) and saw some impressive individual stats from 4th year player Raheem Dennis dropping  21 points and 13 rebounds in 23 minutes. We also saw 2nd year Knight Kadin Moore contribute 37 minutes, 18 points and 7 rebounds.

You can catch the Knights back in action this Saturday, November 2nd, taking place at 2PM at home hosting the Sheridan Bruins (1-2).
