February 8, 2025
NORTH BAY, ON: The Niagara College Knights men's basketball team (10-8) made the
trek to North Bay, ON to battle with the Canadore Panthers (2-15) for their final game of
the 2024-2025 regular season. They ended their regular season on a high note,
securing an 85-73 victory.
The Knights scored a season-high 50 points in the first half of this game while also
showing off their defensive skills, holding the Panthers to 37 points. The 3 rd quarter was
a bit dicey while the Knights struggled offensively and were outscored by the Panthers,
however they were able to win the 4 th quarter 20-18 and ultimately seal the win.
This was a very balanced team game, with 10 different Knights scoring 4 points or more
and 4 Knights scoring in double digits. 1 st year Ryan Darkwah out of Burlington, ON had
a fantastic game, playing 18 minutes and scoring 14 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, and 2
blocks. Coltin Elwell, the local 1 st year from St. Catharines, ON also scored 14 points
and added 1 assist for good measure. Khayden Stewart was the next highest-scoring
Knight with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and a very impressive 9 assists.
With this win, the Knights will finish in 5 th place in the OCAA west division standings and
will travel to the 4 th seeded team in the east for their playoff qualifying game. Location,
