There are a number of exciting redevelopment projects going on all across Niagara College, including both of the college's athletic centres. Both projects will provide additional space that will improve the athletics and recreation opportunities for all students at Niagara.
In Welland foundations are currently being constructed and renovations have kicked off for a new Academic Fitness Lab. The academic fitness lab will be part of a 13,000 square-foot academic training addition to the north side of the existing Athletic Centre. The space will also provide longer term flexibility for use as a second gymnasium.
Meanwhile at the Niagara on the Lake campus, the 20,000 square-foot project includes an expansion of the east side of the campus, replacing the existing facility. The upgrade will feature a larger fitness centre, with change rooms, an exercise studio, reception and six new 40-seat classrooms.
