February 22, 2023 - Five Niagara Knights volleyball athletes picked up OCAA honours this evening at their respective 2023 OCAA Championship banquets.

Natasha Desjardins was named an OCAA West Division First Team All-Star for the third consecutive year to cap off her final season with Niagara, while Madelyn Berg was named a OCAA West Division Second Team All-Star, her second nod after being named in 2019-2020.

First-year players Hope Nicholson and Hannah Cowie were each named to the OCAA West Division All-Rookie Team after their solid rookie seasons with the blue and white.

The 2022-2023 OCAA women's volleyball banquet was held this evening in Oakville with the championship tournament kicking off tomorrow out of Sheridan College. The Knights will open the tournament with a quarterfinal match against Humber College at 1:00pm.

Despite getting bounced from the playoff picture earlier than what they wanted, second-year outside hitter Micah Nieuwets was named at OCAA West Division Second Team All-Star. The men's volleyball awards banquet took place this evening at Fanshawe College, the host of the 2023 OCAA Men's Volleyball Championship.
