Women's Hoops Still Searching for First Win After 68-55 Loss to Mohawk

November 9th, 2019....WELLAND - The Niagara College women's basketball team continue to find themselves on the wrong side of the score after struggling through a 68-55 loss to the visiting Mohawk Mountaineers Thursday night at home.

The Knights, who are now winless in five, have yet to find their rhythm as a very young team in the competitive Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) West division.

The Mountaineers also came into the game looking to improve on their 1-3 record as they also have struggled to find the win column this season.

Kaisen MacKinnon (1st year, Cole Harbour, NS) led the Knights in scoring with 14 points, followed by Jessyka Maliksi (1st year, Mississauga) with 10.

The Knights will take the weekend off to recollect and hit the gym Monday in preparation for a tough match-up against the visiting 4-0 Humber Hawks next Thursday evening.
