Hultink Picks up OCAA West All-Rookie Team Status at 2020 Basketball Championship Banquet

March 5, 2020....WINDSOR - As eight teams descend on Windsor Ontario on the eve of the 2020 Women's Basketball Championship for the awards portion of the event, one Niagara Knight received her second nod from the OCAA this season.

Terin Hultink took home OCAA West All-Rookie team status Thursday night at St. Clair College for her standout freshman season with the Knights.

Hultink is a duel athlete for Niagara, suiting up for both soccer and basketball for the Knights. At the 2019 Women's Soccer Championship back in October, the former Heritage Christian Hawk was honoured with OCAA First Team All-Star recognition.

Joining the Knights basketball team after the soccer season, Hultink became a force to be reckoned with on the court.  In 16 games with the blue and white, Hultink quickly became one of the Knights top point getters, averaging 9.7 per game with a total of 146 for the season.  Hultink was also the Knights top rebounder for the season with 160.

The Fenwick native becomes the fourth Knight this season to receive OCAA West All-Rookie Team recognition for 2019-2020. Soccer teammate Julianne Buist took home the honour in the fall, while Colin Prelaz and Kristen Oudman were recently named at their volleyball championship banquets last week.

While Hultink and the Knights were knocked out of the running for the Championship tournament in Feb 29th's qualifier loss to Algonquin College, championship action tips-off from St. Clair College on Friday March 6th.
