Men's Basketball Signs Lincoln Prep Forward Rahim Douglas-Charles

May 13, 2020...WELLAND - The Niagara College Knights men's basketball team has added Lincoln Prep's Rahim Douglas-Charles to their line-up for the 2020-2021 season.

Douglas-Charles, a Brampton native, spent the 2019-2020 season suiting up for the Lincoln Prep in Hamilton, where he was  was coached by former  Brock Badger Zach Angelini. Prior to his time at the high-performance prepartory school, Douglas-Charles attended Louise Arbour Secondary School in Brampton where he was a three-time MVP for the two-time champion Eagles. Douglas-Charles was also voted the 2019 Louise Arbour Athlete of the Year in 2019 before transferring to Lincoln Prep for his final year of high school.

Lincoln Prep is a high performance academic and basketball program for selected top-tier Canada Basketball and Ontario Basketball identified student-athletes that competes in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association.

The six-foot-two forward will be attending Niagara College for the Broadcast, Radio, Television and Film (BRTF) program in the fall, and is looking forward to starting his post-secondary career in the blue and white. 

"Niagara College is the best fit for me going further in my basketball career, and they have some really good opportunities with the program( BRTF) I am going into.  I believe I can be really successful at Niagara College both in the classroom and on the court." said Douglas-Charles.

Head coach Phil Mosley shares the excitement of his latest recruit.

"We are very excited to welcome Rahim into our program," said Mosley. "He comes from a very strong OSBA program Lincoln prep where he played with and against high level players. We believe his combination of high basketball IQ, strong mid range game and great work habits will make him a great addition to our program."
