Hultink and Ionidis Earn Athlete of the Week Honours for September 23-27

September 24, 2019...WELLAND - Terin Hultink and Patrick Ionidis have been named the Niagara Knights Athletes of the Week, brought to you by NCSAC's the Core and Armoury.

In her team's road weekend sweep of Lambton College and St. Claire College, Terin was a force to be reckoned with. Hultink has been a standout player since day one. In just her four games started, Hultink has notched two goals, and has generated great offensive chances through her tough work ethic in midfeild.

Head coach Rob Lalama is excited for what's to come of his first year athlete:
" Terin's skill level is off the charts. She's a great all around player, and an even better team mate. I'm excited to see her game develop at this level."

Second year men's player Patrick Ionidis came back from injury this weekend and gave his team an incredible effort against Lambton and St. Claire at the centre back position. Patrick played 160/180 minutes this weekend in games three and dour after missing game two and the last 70 minutes of their home opener against Humber september 6th.

Coach Frank DeChellis was impressed with Ionidis's return to play this weekend.

" Patrick has really established himself as a leader with this group and a force within our league. Patrick plays with a quiet ferocity and brings a very high soccer IQ to the game."
