March 23, 2020...WELLAND - The Niagara Knights men's volleyball team has added Balgonie, SK native Carter Thurman to their list of signings for 2020-2021.
Standing at six-foot-two, Thurman is an accomplished setter with both his high school (Greenall High School) and Regina Club Volleyball teams. Thurman has also spent the last few summers with the provincial volleyball program on Team Saskatchewan.
Thurman has been on Niagara's head coach Tommy Sloan's radar for a some time, and couldn't be more please to have him officially committed to the Knights for next fall.
"We're thrilled to have Carter join the program this coming fall," said Sloan. "Carter has experienced a ton of success with both his high school team, the Greenall Griffins, as well as the Regina Volleyball Club. He has also spent the past few summers with the Team Saskatchewan provincial program. Carter should be able to jump in and have an immediate impact with our team."
