December 3rd, 2019... WELLAND - Ashton Fehr ( 3rd year, Leamington) of men's volleyball and Brooke Parkes (1st year, Burlington) of women's volleyball have been named Athlete of the Week, sponsored by NCSAC's The Core and The Armoury for Dec 1st -6th.
Parkes was instrumental in her team's efforts this past weekend against Fanshawe College Saturday afternoon and St. Clair College Sunday afternoon. Parkes put up 22 pts in two games over the weekend, including 14 kills and a service ace while hitting a .419 efficiency in a 3-1 win over St. Clair, which happened to be her first start in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA).
Fehr was a key player in his team's match against Fanshawe College Saturday afternoon. In their 3-0 sweep of the Falcons, Fehr had 10 points in three sets with only one hitting error. In the Knights tough loss to St. Clair the following day, Fehr went on a big serving run in the first set to help his team claim the first set win.
