Knights Golf off to Durham Invitational

Knights Golf off to Durham Invitational

The Niagara College golf team will play their final tune-up event of the 2013 season on Thursday, September 26th as the team travels to Lakeridge Links to take part in the annual Durham College Invitational golf tournament.

As a five man team the Knights have been unable to secure winning results thus far in 2013. However, in the Knights two opening events, Zach Bankutti and Evan Littlefield have shown the team's ability to score low.

Littlefield recorded a 72 at the rain soaked Fanshawe Invitational. The score was good enough for a fourth place finish. Bankutti shot a 72 at the Knights' home course Hunters Pointe during the Niagara College Fall Classic on Monday. He finished in a tie for second place.

The Knights will enter six players, Bankutti and Littlefield along with Walker Arnott, Lukas Jakobs, Cody Chase, and Brody Gauthier into Thursday's event and the team will look for scoring consistency from all members.

Monday, September 30th will see the Knights will head to the OCAA Championships being hosted by Laurier Brantford at the Paris Grand Golf and Country Club in Paris, Ontario.
