Men's Basketball Defeated by Cougars

Sunday, October 27th saw the Niagara College men's basketball program fall to the Sault College Cougars by a final score of 83-75.

The young Knights showed flashes of solid play in the contest, but were unable to overcome an early 15-point deficit the team trailed by after the first quarter.

After the game Niagara College men's basketball head coach Steve Atkin commented "they out worked us at both ends of the floor and clearly wanted it more than we did. They shot the ball very well and out rebounded us significantly. I give that team much credit, they came to play."

The Knights were led offensively by first-year guard Ty Rogers. The six-foot-three native of Mississauga finished the match shooting 7 of 13 and recorded 19 total points and five rebounds.

The 0-2 Knights will have a few days off before their next matchup versus the 2-0 Fanshawe Falcons on Friday, November 3rd. Tip-off is set for 8:00pm and the match can be viewed live at www.ocaatv.com.
