Knights Basketball On the Road Versus Cambrian

Knights Basketball On the Road Versus Cambrian

The Niagara College men's and women's basketball programs will head to Sudbury for their final road games of the 2013-14 season. The teams will complete a 'swing trip' to Sudbury that will see both programs contest a pair of games against the Cambrian Golden Shield.

On the women's side the Knights have been battling significant injuries since the beginning of 2014. The team split a pair of matches last weekend versus the Lambton Lions and St. Clair Saints, and currently sit in sixth place in the OCAA West Division.

A pair of victories against Cambrian will keep the team's hopes of hosting an OCAA playoff game alive.

On the men's side, the Knights are coming off their best weekend in the 2013-14 season. After starting with a record of 0-13 the Knights defeated both the Lambton Lions (5-10) and St. Clair Siants (8-7) last weekend.

Forward Ryan Christie has led the charge for the much improved Knights, averaging a dominant 15.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game since joining the team in December.

Games get underway at 6:00pm on Saturday evening, and 1:00pm on Sunday afternoon.
