Story by Niagara College Communications Students, Evan Tolton, James Goldenberg

The Niagara College Knights women's basketball team will try to get back in the win column this afternoon when they return home to the Welland Campus Athletic Centre to take on the Fanshawe Falcons (3-1)

The 1:00 pm tip-off features a battle between two of the OCAA's best playmakers. Jamira Rousseau and Sydney Kendellen. Rousseau leads the Knights and the conference with seven 7.0 assists a game. Kendellen is averaging 4.8 assists running the offence for the Falcons.

After opening the season with a resounding home win against Sheridan College (97-48)

the Knights have dropped their last two on the road, losing to St Clair (80-64) and Lambton (54-51).

Fanshawe began their season with three consecutive wins before losing their last game to the OCAA's number-one ranked Humber Hawks (66-50).

The Falcons are currently ranked third in the OCAA and will provide head coach Chris Rao and his team a benchmark as to where they stand against the conference elites.

The Saturday matinee will be the first of two meetings between the teams this season. The Knights will travel to Fanshawe on February 11th.

Saturday's action can be streamed on OCAA Live.
