November 30, 2022...WELLAND -The Niagara Knights Women's basketball program will host the undefeated Humber Hawks (7-0) in a must watch matchup at the Welland campus gym Thursday December 1st at 6:00p.m. The Knights are currently enjoying a three game win streak after picking up wins against Conestoga, Redeemer and Mohawk.
The Knight's defense was a huge factor in extending their winning streak to three games, as they held Mohawk to just 25 points through four quarters. The Knights defense will be tasked tomorrow night against the red hot Hawks, who are averaging a division high of 76.7 points per game.
The Knights women's program is currently sitting at (4-3) on the season, and are being led by second-year business sales/marketing major, Jamira Rousseau, who is averaging an impressive 10.4 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 5.3APG on the season.
Second-year forward, Molly Taylor has also been a key to the Knights success. Taylor is currently averaging a team high 8.7 RPG, while also putting up nine points per game.
The matchup will be the Knights' last game before the OCAA season breaks for Christmas.
