Men's Basketball Defeat Canadore

The Niagara College Men's Basketball Program won their fourth consecutive game on Saturday, January 26th earning a 84-71 victory over the 1-15 Canadore Panthers.

All 11 Niagara players dressed for the matchup received playing time, as the Knights used their trademark high-energy offensive attack to secure the win.

The exciting affair saw eight lead changes and four Niagara College players finish the game in double digit scoring.

Third-year guard Jimmy Bilenga led the Knights in scoring for the third consecutive match. The General Business student and native of Hamilton, Ontario, shot an impressive 9 for 19 and finished with a game high 22 points.

Other leading scorers for the Knights were Ashton Stephenson (16), Marako Lundy (15) and Darian Rowe (11).

The Knights will look to extend their winning streak to five when they host the defending National Champion Mohawk Mountaineers on Thursday, January 31st at 8:00pm at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre.

The matchup is an important one, as the two teams sit just two points apart in the OCAA's West Division.
