Knights Men’s basketball not able to pull off the win against the Fanshawe Falcons

November 11, 2023, LONDON

The Knights men's basketball team suffered a loss in another close game against the Fanshawe Falcons on Saturday in London.  The Knights were outscored by 7 points in the first quarter and were never able to come back and take the lead.  Down by 8 points at the half and 11 after the third quarter, the Knights tried to make a comeback scoring a strong 28 points to Fanshawe's 22, but it was just not quite enough to pull off the win and they fell 90-85 to the Falcons.

Niagara had many contributors in this game and some good support off the bench.  The starting lineup combined for 54 of the team's 85 total points with most of those points coming from Khayden Stewart (15 points, 2 rebounds, 10 assists), Reggie Williams (14 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists), and Jason Sache (14 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals).  Simon Ricketts-Ewen provided strong support off the bench contributing 12 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals, 3 blocks, and 25 minutes played.

The Knights are now sitting at 2-3 on the season and are hoping to get back to the .500 mark with a win against the Conestoga Condors this coming Wednesday.  The Knights travel to the SRC Doon Campus for an 8pm tipoff.
