November 15, 2023. KITCHENER

The Knights women's basketball team picked up another win on the road Wednesday night when they visited the Conestoga Condors. The Knights defeated the Condors 59-44, bringing them to 4-2 for the season.

The Knights made a statement from the opening tip-off, scoring a resounding 24 points in the first quarter, adding another 9 points in the second while locking down defensively to go into the half comfortably leading 33-17. The Knights faced some resistance from the Condors to begin the second half. A strong third-quarter effort from the Condors cut the Knights' 16-point lead in half to end the quarter.

Momentum shifted in the fourth quarter as the Knights clamped down defensively and went on a run of their own, pouring in 19 points in the quarter to extend their lead and go on to win the game 59-44.

Leading the Knights was Jamira Rousseau with a game-high 16 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds, backed up by Lexxus Bell with an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double. Kate Roth contributed with 11 points and 4 rebounds off the bench.

The Knights are looking to extend their two-game win streak when they return home for their next game to take on the 2-4 Redeemer Royals this Thursday, November 23, at 6:00 PM.
