PREVIEW: CCAA #13 ranked Knights set to take on Mohawk

Tuesday, October 3rd will see the Niagara Knights men's soccer program (5-1, 2nd OCAA West) look to extend their winning streak to six, when the team travels to Mohawk to take on the 2-5 Mountaineers. The Knights enter the contest riding a five game winning streak that has seen the team climb to No. 3 and No. 13 in the OCAA provincial and CCAA national rankings.

The Knights possess a balanced game that has seen the team score the fourth most goals in the OCAA, while conceding the third fewest goals against through the halfway point of the season.

On the offensive end, the Knights will look to their trio of veteran goal scoring leaders in strikers Carlos Williams (4), Marc-Andre Bouchard (4), and Jordi Amores (3) to lead the team's attack.

On the defensive end, the Knights will continue to lean on veteran goalkeeper Sam Robson (Milton) who has given up just two goals in his six appearance this season.

The Knights will face a Mountaineers side that is in serious need of a win if they look to stay in the OCAA playoff race. The two teams last met back on September 13th at Youngs SportsPlex in a match that saw the Knights earn a hard fought 2-0 home field victory. Bouchard and Amores were the two goal scorers for Niagara.

Kick-off for Tuesday night's crucial OCAA West Division matchup is set for 8:00pm.
