Knights at Hawks. January 7, 2015. 8:00pm.
Coming off a gold medal finish in the Knights tournament, the Niagara College men's volleyball (5-4, 6th West) program will begin the unofficial second half of the OCAA regular season Wednesday night when they go on the road to face the Humber Hawks (7-2, 2nd West).
Humber has not played a regular season match since November 30, 2014, in which they lost to Niagara College 3-2.
In front of a large home crowd, the Knights dropped the opening set but rallied to pull off the upset.

The defensive effort for Niagara was a key factor in the win. Former Guelph Gryphon Aaron Vanderlugt (Burlington) had a season high nine stuff blocks while Niagara finished the match with a team total of 18. Offensively the Knights were led by Nathan Snippe (St. Anns) who had a team high 16 kills, while Knights Tournament MVP Jeff Scott (Georgetown) contributed with 12 kills of his own.
Currently the Knights are 1-3 on the road, however winning the Knights Tournament may be the confidence boast required to defeat the seventh ranked program in the country in their own gym.
