Knights return from Sudbury with victories

SUDBURY, ONT:, The Niagara College men's volleyball team (3-0) continued their winning ways over the weekend, defeating College Boreal Viperes (1-3) 3-1 on Saturday (Set scores were 25-17, 25-15, 23-25 and 25-21) and the Cambrian Golden Shield (2-2) 3-2 on Sunday (Set scores were 24-26, 25-23, 26-24, 20-25 and 15-10)

Finishing off their road trip in Sudbury, the Knights rolled out of Sudbury with 2 more wins.  First taking on the College Boreal Viperes where it was a combined team effort to help lead the Knights to victory.  Taking on Cambrian on Sunday featured Elijah Bugiardini putting on a clinic with 12 kills, 2 serving aces and 2 blocks, providing the Knights with 16 points of his own in a 4-set victory.

Head coach Steve Stone applauded the efforts of his entire team after the victory saying that it was an "ultimate team win this weekend."  He continued to say "everyone contributed to the success of the team, in both Boreal and Cambrian matches.  Nice coming away from a double-header weekend, 2-0."

The Knights' next game will see them come home to play against the Conestoga Condors (2-1) at the Simplii Financial Athletic Centre at the Niagara College Welland Campus.
