The Niagara College Department of Athletics & Recreation celebrated another tremendous season of athletic excellence on Friday night at the Riverstone Event Centre in Welland, as they held their 47th Annual Athletic Awards Banquet. The event marks the official culmination of the 2015-16 intercollegiate season.
Team Chiesa/Whiteley won the 2nd Annual Niagara Region Girls’ Volleyball Showcase on Thursday night. The match featured four sets, in order to showcase the region’s best up and coming volleyball players, with Team Chiesa/Whiteley earning a 4-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-22, 25-20) to defeat Team Rivers/Koslowski.
The 2nd Annual Niagara Region Girls’ Volleyball Showcase will take place on March 22nd at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre. The showcase will feature 21 of the top girls volleyball student-athletes representing 14 high schools from across the Niagara Region.
