Koslowski and Ingribelli Named Athletes of the Week

Female Athlete of the Week – Jordan Koslowski, Women’s Volleyball

Jordan Koslowski of the Niagara College women’s volleyball program has been named this week’s Niagara College athlete of the week.

The five-foot-ten outside hitter enjoyed a fantastic final week of the 2016-17 season. Friday, saw the Knights head to Windsor for the OCAA Championship tournament, prior the event the Hamilton native was named a CCAA All-Canadian (the first Niagara College women’s volleyball player to earn the accolade), an OCAA first team all-star, and was awarded the OCAA West Division scoring title.

During the Championship, Koslowski was outstanding, leading the Knights in points and kills over the course of the three day event. She was instrumental in helping lift the team to an OCAA Bronze medal, the third consecutive year the Niagara Knights women’s volleyball program has finished on the OCAA podium.

Koslowski finished the 2016-17 regular season with 267 total points, the most ever by a Niagara College women’s volleyball player.

Female Athlete of the Week – Mary Ingribelli, Women’s Basketball

For the second consecutive week, Mary Ingribelli of the Niagara College women’s basketball program has been named athlete of the week.

The third-year guard from St. Catharines notched a career high 29 points during the Knights’ February 26th playoff victory over the Centennial Colts. The former Governor Simcoe Redcoat was red hot from the floor shooting 10 of 14 from the field, while also adding five rebounds.

The playoff victory sees Ingribelli and the rest of the Niagara College women’s basketball program advance to the 2017 OCAA Championship being hosted by the Seneca Sting from March 2-4. The Knights will open the event at 6:00pm on February 2nd against the host Sting.
