Wednesday, January 8th will see the Niagara College men's and women's basketball programs open the second half of their 2013-14 seasons with road matchups versus the Mohawk Mountaineers. The game will serve as the grand opening of the new David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre.
In the 6:00pm women's game, the second place Niagara college women's basketball program (7-2) will look to build on their strong first half. The team is anchored by a pair of guards in fifth-year Tara Giallonardo and rookie Alyssa McCabe.
The men's game will get underway at 8:00pm and three players will make their regular season debuts for the Knights. Ryan Christie, Mark Lemos, and Weng James have joined the team's roster and the Knights will look to improve on their slow start to the season.
