October 22, 2023

OAKVILLE, ONT:, The Niagara College women's volleyball team (1-0) won their first game of the season this Sunday afternoon, defeating the hosting Sheridan Bruins (0-1) 3-2. (set scores were 18-25, 23-25, 27-25, 25-22, 15-11)

In their first regular season game under new head coach Elaine Pilgrim-Susi, the knights struggled to find their game right out of the gate dropping the first two sets to the Bruins. Heading into the third set, adjustments were made and the introduction of third-year left-side hitter Vanja Kljajic saw the Knights fight back to win the third set by 2 points.

The Knights went on the use the momentum from the third set win to push through the strong Bruins team grabbing the final two sets to take home the first win of the season.

The Knights' next games will see them head north next weekend to play Boreal (0-2) on Saturday, October 28th then heading to Cambrian (1-1) on Sunday, October 29th.
