WELLAND, ONT:, The Niagara College women's volleyball team (5-1) welcomed two visitors to the Simplii Financial Athletic Centre this weekend and walked away with another pair of wins against the Cambrian Golden Shield (2-5) on Friday 3-1 (Set scores 25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20) and beating College Boreal Viperes (0-7) on Saturday 3-0 (Set scores 25-9, 25-15,25-18).

After only travelling to Sudbury two weeks ago, the knights still saw the same results when the two sides now came down to Welland this past weekend. Friday night saw the Knights take a 2-set lead before dropping the third set, but the Knights were able to regroup and take the win in four sets. Hope Nicholson was fantastic on both sides of play recording 13 kills and 14 digs, while Montanna Taylor was also crucial to victory with 7 kills, 28 assists, 5 aces and 14 digs.

Saturday saw the Knights rotate the squad which allowed other players to shine. Rhea-Lee Humphrey got the start and dominated on the floor with 7 Kills and 6 aces, while Jadyn Bertrand also garnered a start and played extremely well with 8 kills and 10 digs.

"I am very pleased with our team's performance this weekend against Cambrian and Boreal Colleges. We created a solid game plan, and the team implemented it perfectly," said head coach Elaine Pilgrim-Susi. "The team improved in their serving and serve receive after a week of intense focus and hard work. In the game against Boreal, it was great to be able to play some of our players who don't get the opportunity to play as much as our starters, and they all played very well!"

The Knights' next game will see them take on the St. Clair Saints (5-1) on Saturday, November 18th at the Simplii Financial Athletic Centre in Welland at 2:00 pm.
