PREVIEW: Knights look to increase unbeaten streak to four straight

Sunday, October 4th at 1:00pm.
North Field - Home of the Eagles

Knights Road Record: 1-1-0
Eagles Home Record:  0-2-1

After pulling off the biggest upset in program history, the Niagara College women's soccer (2-2-1, 4th Central) program will be back on the pitch Sunday afternoon; attempting to extend their unbeaten streak to a program best four-straight matches.

Sunday's match will be the first time in school history that the Knights face off against the University of Toronto-Mississauga Eagles (0-3-1, 5th Central).  The Eagles are playing in their inaugural season in the OCAA and so far have been outscored 14-1 by their opponents.

Led by second-year forward Rebecca Morrison (Erin), the Knights went on the road and defeated the CCAA's 14th ranked program, the Sheridan Bruins (3-1-0, 3rd Central).  Morrison's second goal of the season put her in a tie for second all-time on the Knights career scoring list.  Former OUA goalkeeper Jenna Vasiliaskis (Burlington) picked up her second clean sheet for the Knights in the victory.

Reigning CCAA and OCAA athlete of the week Jackie Lawther (Beamsville) will look to stay red hot during this matchup.  The sport managment major has recorded four goals in five games this season and now ranked 11th in the CCAA in scoring.
