PREVIEW: Knights get ready for last road game of regular season

Saturday, October 17th at 1:00pm.
Centennial Park – Home of the Huskies

Knights Road Record – 2-2-0
Huskies Home Record – 1-3-0

The Niagara College women's soccer (3-3-2, 4th Central) program will be headed on the road to play in their final road game of the OCAA regular season.  The Knights will be looking to get back in the win column when they face off with the George Brown Huskies (1-6-1, 5th Central).

Niagara will enter this game coming off a tough loss against the reigning provincial champions, when they were shutout 4-0 by Seneca College (4-2-2, 3rd Central).  After being blanked four times last year, Wednesday's loss was only the second time this season the Knights were unable to find the back of the net.

Despite the loss, the Knights still have a goal differential on the season of plus two, still in line to finish the year with a plus differential for the first time in program history.

The Huskies have had a difficult 2015 season and are coming off a 2-1 loss to the second place Sheridan Bruins.

When these two programs met at Youngs SportsPlex earlier this season, the Knights put on a record setting performance in the 4-0 win.  The four goals were a signle game record for the Knights, while the plus four goal differential was thelargest margin of victory as well.

2014 team MVP Jackie Lawther (Beamsville)tied the career record for goals during the match, a record she has secured as the season progressed.  Former Brock Badgers Alex Pasco (Niagara Falls) and Jenna Vasiliaskis (Burlington) had memorable games as well.  Pasco recorded her first OCAA goal while Vasiliaskis recorded her first OCAA clean sheet.
