PREVIEW: No. 11 Niagara Knights' women's volleyball to battle No. 2 Humber Hawks Thursday night

It's game day for the Niagara College women's volleyball program as the team heads to Toronto for a match against the powerhouse Humber Hawks. First place in the OCAA West will be on the line as the matchup will feature two of the top programs in the CCAA. The Knights enter the matchup ranked No. 11 while the Hawks stand at No. 2.

The two-programs stand alone at the top of the OCAA Standings. Humber an undefeated 12-0. The Knights 11-1. Niagara's lone blemish came at the hands of the Hawks in a hard fought 3-1 battle on November 23rd. The game is a rematch of the 2015-16 OCAA gold medal final that saw Humber capture OCAA bragging rights.

The Hawks are led by dynamic outside hitter Devan O'Connor who is averaging an OCAA West best 4.3 points-per-set. The Knights counter with an explosive outside hitter of their own in second year standout Jordan Koslowski. The Hamilton native is third in the West in points-per-set with 3.9.

The November 23rd matchup saw the Knights win a set off the vaunted Humber side, one of only two sets the Hawks have lost in 2016-17.

Frist serve for one of the most anticipated women's volleyball matchups of the 2016-17 OCAA regular season is set for 6:00pm at the Humber Athletic Centre. The match will be live streamed https://www.youtube.com/user/hawksrock121/live
