The Niagara College men's basketball (3-4, 6^th West) program will have it tough Thursday night as they travel to Hamilton to face the Mohawk Mountaineers (6-1, 3^rd West). 

Mohawk enters this contest scorching hot, winners of six straight games.  The streak is in large part due to the dominate performances by Matt Fennell and Andrew Cicuttini.  Defending OCAA scoring champion Matt Fennell is leading the nation in scoring, averaging 34 points per game.  Fifth year forward Andrew Cicuttini is averaging a double double through seven games, averaging 15.9 points and 13.3 rebounds.  His 13.3 rebounds are good enough for first in the province. 

The Knights are led by two players competing in the OCAA for the first time, point guard Trevon Ash and forward Delroy Grandison.   Trevon (San Diego) is ranked eighth in the province, averaging 20.6 points per game.  Welding techniques major Delroy Grandison (Kingston, JA) is in the top ten for steals (2.3), blocks (1.4), and offensive rebounds (3.4). 

Back in October, these two programs met in the championship game of the SLC Vikings basketball tournament.  In a back and forth contest, the Mountaineers won by four, 81-77.  Mohawk's Matt Fennell was named tournament MVP and Niagara's Delroy Grandison was named to the tournament all-star team.

Tip-off is set for 8:00pm.
