PREVIEW: Season on the Line for Men's Basketball

The 2014-15 OCAA regular season finale is upon us and the postseason hopes of the Niagara College men's basketball (7-10, 7th West) program will come down to this final game.  On Friday, February 20 the Knights will host the Sheridan Bruins (7-10, 6th West) for a chance to advance to the OCAA playoffs.

Niagara, Sheridan, and St. Clair (7-10, 8th West) are all fighting for the final playoff spot.  The Knights can advance with a win over Sheridan and a St. Clair loss to Fanshawe (12-5, 5th West) Sunday night.

The Knights have won four of their last five contests to keep their season alive and will need to do so one more time.

Sheridan has lost three of their last four games, the most recent being to Mohawk (15-2, 2nd West) 110-82.  Nathanial Nathan led the Bruins with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Niagara is coming off a loss to St. Clair, 91-77.  Second year forward Aaron Chapman (Huntsville) scored a season-high 18 points, his fifth straight contest scoring in double digits.

These two programs previously matched in the season opener at Sheridan.  The Bruins came away with the win 95-84.  First year forward Delroy Grandison (Kingston, JA), playing in his first OCAA contest, finished the game with 17 points, 11 rebounds, six steals and six blocks.  Adam Elhereich paced the way for the Bruins with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
