PREVIEW: Men's volleyball hit the road to face Condors

The defending OCAA men's volleyball champion Niagara Knights will look to improve to 3-0 on the season when the team travels to Kitchener to take on the Conestoga Condors on Sunday, November 1st.

The Knights opened the 2015-16 season with a pair of impressive home court victories over the Fanshawe Falcons and St. Clair Saints. The strong early returns for the Knights have been driven by a balanced offensive and defensive game that has seen twelve players see significant court time.

Offensively the team has been led by the strong play of towering six-foot-eight outside hitter Nathan Snippe (St. Anns). The veteran is off to a hotstart, tallying 33 points in the team's first two games, enough to earn the Smithville District Christian High School graduate OCAA and CCAA men's volleyball athlete of the week honours.

Defensively a trio of highly touted rookies have been anchoring the Knights' defense thus far. St. Catharines native Andrew VandenBurg has eight blocks in just seven sets for the Knights, while coveted international standout middle blocker Shonari Hepburn (Nassau, Bahamas) has been disruptive force at the net. In the back court Grunthal, Manitoba native Matt Freisen leads the team in digs with an impressive 23.

First serve for Sunday's matchup is set for 3:00pm.
