RECAP: Men's volleyball earns split at the Niagara Knights Invitational

The Niagara Knights Men's Volleyball Program (7-2, 4th OCAA West) hosted the Niagara Knights Invitational on December 29th and 30th to close out 2015.

Day 1 started off positively as Niagara opened the tournament with a 3-0 sweep over the George Brown Huskies. This was followed up by a 3-2 win over the Sheridan Bruins. The Knights dropped both games on Day 2 of the tournament, falling 1-3 to the Durham Lords and 0-3 to the OCAA West Division leading Fanshawe Falcons.

Using the tournament as a training opportunity heading into the second half of the regular season, the Knights finished with a record of 2-2. Outside Hitter Jeff Scott (Georgetown) was named a tournament all-star for his performance.

Niagara kicks off the second half of the regular season at home on Thursday, January 14th when the Mohawk Mountaineers (7-2, 2nd OCAA West) visit the Welland Campus Athletic Centre. First serve is at 8:00 pm.
