PREVIEW: Knights and Hawks to renew men's volleyball rivalries

Thursday, November 19th will see two of the top men's volleyball programs in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association renew rivalries when the Niagara Knights travel to Etobicoke to take on the Humber Hawks.

The Knights are coming off a disappointing loss to the Sheridan Bruins, while the Hawks have lost two straight to the Fanshawe Falcons and Mohawk Mountaineers. Over the last three seasons the two teams are 3-3 in head-to-head matchups.

"This is going to be a fantastic match" said Niagara College men's volleyball head coach Nathan Groenveld. "Anytime these two teams face each other it serves as a showcase for the tremendous talent level that exists in the OCAA West Division."

An interesting on-court matchup will be the faceoff between two of the top first-year players in the OCAA, in outside hitter Nathan Murdock (Humber) and middle blocker Shonari Hepburn (Niagara). Both players represent their respective senior men's national programs, with Murdock suiting up for Jamaica and Hepburn the Bahamas. The six-foot-seven Hepburn possesses an uncanny ability to disrupt the offensive rhythm of opposing hitters, while Murdock is leading the west in scoring averaging 4.6 points-per-set. Something has to give during Thursday's matchup.

First serve for the game is set for 8:00pm and the match will be live broadcasted via https://www.youtube.com/user/hawksrock121/live
