RECAP: Knights earn three set sweep to advance to OCAA semi-finals

The Niagara Knights men's volleyball program opened the 2016 OCAA Men's Volleyball Championship with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-23) win over the Durham Lords. The Knights move one step closer towards earning back-to-back gold medals for the first time since their gold medal victories in 2000 and 2001. Niagara will now meet the Mohawk Mountaineers on Friday night at 6:00 pm.

Cole Jordan earned player of the game honours for the Knights in the contest.

The Knights meet the Mountaineers for the third time this season, having already earned a pair of regular season victories over their Hamilton rivals. Niagara earned a 3-2 (25-20, 25-18, 12-25, 24-26, 15-12) victory in late November on the road, before taking a 3-1 (25-23, 25-18, 26-28, 25-23) victory to open the 2016 portion of the regular season. The Knights defeated the Mountaineers in the quarter-final of last year's OCAA Championship 3-2 (18-25, 25-19, 25-22, 18-25, 15-12), with Jeff Scott (Georgetown) taking home player of the game honours in the contest.
