Women's Volleyball Set to Host Sheridan

Fresh off a victory over the Mohawk Mountaineers, the Niagara College women's volleyball program (3-2) will look to continue their winning ways on Thursday night when the team plays host to the Sheridan Bruins (0-2) at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre.

Offensively the Knights will look to a pair of veteran's for continued their strong play. Second-year outside hitter Kayde Bailey leads the team with 65 points in five matches. Bailey was named OCAA Women's Volleyball athlete of the week for the week of October 29-November 5.

Additionally, third-year middle blocker Alex Botelho will be counted on for her leadership and net defense throughout the contest. The six-foot native of Stoney Creek serves as the Knights' team captain, and is averaging just under a block-per-set this season.

First serve for Thursday night's matchup is set for 6:00pm. Admission is free for all Niagara College students, and all home games are live broadcasted and archived at www.ocaatv.com.
