Women's Volleyball Lose to Condors

Friday night saw the Niagara College women's volleyball program suffer a tough home court loss to the Conestoga Condors at the Welland Campus athletic centre. The loss drops the Knights to 5-6 on the season, while the Condors improve to 7-4. The set score sin the contest were 25-17, 25-17, 25-17.

After the match Niagara College women's volleyball head coach Joey Martins commented "we just didn't have it tonight. We were flat and didn't communicate, and we need to move on from this match."

The Knights failed to find any momentum in the match, and seemed unable to overcome the high energy back court defense that saw the Condors out dig the Knights 72-56.

The loss moves the Knights temporarily into sole possession of the sixth and final playoff spot in the OCAA West Division. The team will have the weekend to regroup before returning to the court next week to prepare for their January 16th road matchup versus the 3-7 Mohawk Mountaineers.
