After moving into fifth place in the very competitive OCAA West division, the Niagara College women's basketball (8-6) program will be back at it Friday, February 6, as they host the Redeemer Royals (3-11, 8th West).
The Knights are winners of three straight, including a two-game sweep of the Cambrian Golden Shield last weekend. Second year point guard Alyssa McCabe (Niagara Falls), vying to become a 2014-15 OCAA all-star, finished the two-game set with 26 points, 10 rebounds, 16 assists, four steals, six blocks, and only two turnovers in just over 57 minutes of playing time. For her efforts, Alyssa was given SAC female athlete of the week honours, earning one in consecutive weeks and for the third time this basketball season.
