PREVIEW: Women's volleyball to host Sheridan on Saturday

The Niagara College women's volleyball program (4-1) enters their Saturday, November 14th home court matchup against the Sheridan Bruins ranked No. 15 nationally and No. 3 provincially. The team however are looking to avenge a tough road loss last weekend against Cambrian that saw the team's three game winning streak snapped.

"Sheridan is a very talented team that can compete with anyone" said Niagara College women's volleyball head coach Joey Martins. "We need to play our game and execute to our fullest ability to get a winning result."

The Knights will continue lean on team captain Devon Lowes (Burlington). The imposing six-foot-one middle blocker, who serves as the Knights team captain, has been outstanding to open the 2015-16 season. Lowes is averaging an impressive 3.2 points-per-set and is leading the OCAA West in blocks with 18. Lowes is in her second year with the Knights and is enrolled in the Niagara College police foundations program.

First serve for Saturday's pivotal OCAA West division matchup is set for 1:00pm at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre. Tickets for the general public are $5.00 but free for all Niagara College students and those under the age of 17. For those unable to be in attendance, all Niagara Knights homes games are live broadcasted at www.goknights.ca/watchlive
