#2 Ranked Men's Volleyball to Face Redeemer

The Niagara College Knights (6-0), Canada's second ranked men's volleyball program will look to extend their winning streak to seven on Wednesday, when the team travels to Ancaster to take on the Redeemer Royals (4-1). The Knights are off to their best start to a season since 2000-2001 and currently sit atop the OCAA standings as the last undefeated team.

The Knights are led offensively by third-year outside hitter Daniel Groenveld. The Welland native leads the OCAA West Division in most offensive categories and is the current OCAA Men's Volleyball athlete of the week.

Quarterbacking the Knights offense is first-year setter Ricky Brar. The six-foot-two native of Brampton has been outstanding for the Knights this season, and is among the OCAA West Division leaders in assists.

First-year middle blocker Travis Waite will look to continue his solid play as of late. The six-foot-four Waite was solid across the board during the Knights last match against Sheridan when he recorded four kills, four blocks, and four aces. The St. Thomas native currently leads the OCAA in service aces with 13 and is among the league leaders in blocks. Waite is also the current Niagara College athlete of the week.

The Royals are riding a three game winning streak, and currently sit in third place in the strong OCAA West Division.

First-serve for the matchup is set for 8:00pm.
