Friday, November 29th will see the Niagara College men's volleyball program play their final home match of 2013 when the team hosts the Fanshawe College Falcons at 8:00pm at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre. The match will see the CCAA's #2 ranked Knights face the #13 ranked Falcons for the first time this season.
The undefeated Knights currently sit atop the OCAA West Division standings with a record a 7-0. While the Falcons sit in third place with a record of 5-2.
Friday's game will also serve as a matchup between two of the OCAA's premier offensive players. For the Knights third-year outside hitter Daniel Groenveld currently leads the OCAA West Division is points, kills, points-per-set, and kills-per-set. The Falcons will counter with fifth-year outside hitter Mathieu Poulin. The former CIS All-Canadian also ranks among the OCAA's best in kills-per-set and points-per-set.
Friday is also National Jersey day, so fans attending are encouraged to wear their favourite jerseys to the match. Those wearing jerseys will be given the opportunity to win prizes throughout the evening.
